Bio & background

AG Rojas is a Los Angeles–based commercial director and filmmaker who left ArtCenter College of Design as a teenager to direct full-time. He broke through with narrative, street-cast, handheld music videos before carrying that music-driven language into advertising. Documented campaigns include Nike (Just Do It: Caster Semenya; Making News), Jordan Brand (Need We Say Moore), Samsung (The Snail / Surf the Snail), Duracell (Trust Your Power with Derrick Coleman), Gatorade, Powerade, Adidas, Apple, Allianz, S7 Airlines (The Best Planet for Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam), Audi, Visa, O2, Nokia, Delta, Coca-Cola, and Reebok, plus the Smithsonian Institution commission Godchild. In 2017 he earned a DGA nomination for Outstanding Directing in Commercials for S7 “The Best Planet” and Samsung “The Snail,” and a Bronze Clio for Direction on “The Best Planet.” Nike’s Caster Semenya film took a Bronze Glass Lion and a 2019 Cannes Lions Film Direction shortlist. He won UKMVA Best New Director in 2012. His commercial work shows athlete/sports-brand fluency and a docu-tinged, portrait-and-location craft. He has presented installation work at the Whitney Biennial and premiered the silent featurette Pare de Sufrir (2024). As of February 2025 he joined Imperial Woodpecker for U.S. representation and remains on Newland’s European roster.
