Alex Roberts is an Australian commercial director known for comedy-driven storytelling and over 80 campaigns spanning Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He launched his career as a freelance director and editor for MTV Australia in the late 2000s before directing award-winning music videos for Australian artists including Art vs Science and Matt Corby, winning Australian Music Video of the Year in 2009. His commercial portfolio includes campaigns for Intel, Virgin, McDonald's, Air New Zealand, Hyundai, Uber Eats, and Mobil 1. Roberts directed multiple spots in Uber Eats's "Tonight I'll Be Eating" campaign series featuring Simon Cowell, The Wiggles, Paris Hilton, and the Irwins, and worked with NBA legends Dikembe Mutombo and Anthony Davis for Mobil 1 US campaigns. In 2024, he directed a series for the New Zealand Herpes Foundation that earned the Grand Prix for Good at the 2025 Cannes Lions Festival. His debut documentary feature film "El Metido" premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in 2020. In December 2024, Roberts joined Hungry Man for UK and US representation while continuing with FINCH in Australia and New Zealand.
