Alice Kunisue is a Franco-Japanese commercial director and multidisciplinary artist who entered filmmaking through graphic design and collage after political-science studies in Montréal and art direction in Paris. She broke through in 2017 with Vladimir Cauchemar’s “Aulos,” shot entirely on an iPhone, and has directed music films for Franz Ferdinand, Peggy Gou (“Lobster Telephone,” 2024) and Coldplay (“A Film for the Future,” 2025). Signed by Amsterdam’s HALAL (now 100%) in late 2022, she is also rostered with Spy Films, ProdCo and Mirror Mirror. Brand work spans Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, Montblanc, Aigle, Google, OnePlus, Trainline, Aldi Süd, Marks & Spencer, Nike, LVM Versicherung and Uber Eats. Montblanc’s 2024 global Christmas film for 100% is a storybook winter-retreat narrative about imagination unlocked by a writer’s pen. Trainline’s late-2025 “The Way To Train” for Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam uses practically constructed, Where’s Wally–esque absurdist commuting spots to showcase AI features. OnePlus “Smooth Beyond Belief” deployed exaggerated gaming metaphors; she also contributed to Uber Eats’ multi-director “Build Your Own Super Bowl Commercial,” recognized in the 2026 AICP Advertising Excellence Campaign category. Trade coverage frames her mix of comedy, fashion and music around practical effects, scale, micro-worlds and Japanese commercial humour.
