Anton Du Preez is a Los Angeles-based commercial director and cinematographer known for blending documentary realism with stylized outdoor cinematography and instructional storytelling. Born in South Africa, he moved to the U.S. in 2008 to study film and later launched an in-house film department at American Apparel documenting factory workers. His career accelerated in 2019 when he directed a Nike ACG film profiling a Bigfoot hunter in Oregon, sparking a four-year collaboration that produced over eleven ACG projects. His Nike ACG Field Reports: Dolomites series, which aired during the 2026 Winter Olympics, earned a Silver Cube at the ADC Awards. The ACG Guide to Peace on Earth received a Bronze Cube at the 100th ADC Awards and was shortlisted at the 2021 Cannes Lions and One Show. Beyond Nike, he has directed campaigns for Mercedes-Benz (Electric G-Class Prototype Testing series), Amazon Q, Fjällräven, and EVERYBODY.WORLD, whose Trash Tee spot—shot on vintage Kodak film with recycled footage—was named AdWeek's Ad of the Day. He frequently serves as both director and DP, and his work has been featured at the Design Museum London. In July 2026, he signed with Riff Raff Films for U.S. and U.K. representation.
