Arthur Studholme is a London-based commercial and comedy director with a Fine Art background, known for his absurdist, performance-driven approach that drops everyday people into scenarios that escalate into increasingly bizarre situations. He co-created the comedy sketch show series Uncle Shortbread with Cosmo Wellings, earning Gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes (2022) for their short "What's My Name." In December 2025, Studholme joined FINCH's roster in Australia and New Zealand, having already delivered two acclaimed Suntory Minus 196 commercials as part of the "Extreme Japanese Spirit" campaign with Droga5 ANZ and Droga5 Tokyo, which won Gold in Humour at the 1.4 Awards (2026). He is also working with Magna Studios, directing high-profile campaigns for the UK Department for Health and Social Care's NHS Quit Smoking app (with AMV BBDO), nutpods (with Callen), Old Spice, and Jack Link's. Previously with Pulse Films in London, he directed notable work for Yorkshire Tea (with Lucky Generals), Gumtree (with Wieden + Kennedy), and Bother (with Heart & Minds). His work is characterized by inventive ideas, impeccable casting, and crafted world-building that keeps absurdity grounded in authentic performance.
