Chris Ranson is a London-based commercial and music-video director who moved into directing from a background as a film and commercials editor in Soho. Trade coverage and credits show a documentary-inflected, naturalistic approach applied to sports and brand work. For Adidas he directed the 2017 “#Take Charge” Berlin Marathon episode and a Madrid production that continued after heavy snow collapsed a hangar roof. Other evidenced brand spots include Adobe’s 2023 commercial with FC Bayern Frauenmannschaft, Estée Lauder “Change The Game Overnight” (Meldrum Dent; Ranson also edited), Sure with Chelsea FC, and an action-packed Optimum Nutrition director’s cut via STADIUM. His Sage film “Businesses Behind the Badge” (The Story Club / The Team / VCCP), shot on 35mm with real small-business owners and Gary Neville voiceover, launched around the Carabao Cup Final as part of Sage’s EFL partnership. In 2025 he directed the Superliga / Romanian Football League platform “Together We Are Superliga” (RXM Creative / Saga Film). Parallel music-video work for Labrinth, Banners, Nevada and others includes a 2021 Webby for Best Music Video. He has been profiled by LBB on the STADIUM roster and collaborates long-term with cinematographer Stefan Yap.
