Bio & background

Christine Yuan is an Emmy-winning commercial and documentary director based in Los Angeles, working with Object & Animal in the US and UK. Her documentary practice won Best Culture/History Documentary at the 2018 LA Area Emmy Awards, Best Documentary at the 2018 Golden Mike Awards, and Best Feature Documentary at the 2017 National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards. That foundation carries into branded work such as the short-form documentary “Making Exhibitions” for i-D and Chanel’s The Fifth Sense series (Knucklehead). Commercial shortlists include D&AD’s Next Director Award, the 1.4 Awards Show, Young Guns 15, and SHOOT’s New Directors Showcase, which also credits her Lufthansa web content “The Colors of Home.” Through Object & Animal she has directed Vogue x Chase Sapphire’s “In Search for the Sapphire” (writer-director, feat. Maude Apatow), Nike x Megan Thee Stallion “Hottie State of Mind,” Netflix x Lexus “Running Point,” and 7-Eleven’s Dentsu Creative “Take it to Eleven” coffee spots Mighty Mite, Commute, and Storm—LBB cited her bold, playful style and Japanese-model car-culture inspiration with real-fan casting. Further credits include Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac “Scarcity” (2021, FRED & FARID), Beats “Make What You Hear Come True,” and Mercedes “Almost Ain’t Enough.”
