Dan Opsal is an Emmy-nominated director and sketch writer rostered at Hungry Man across its US, UK, and Brazil lists. He directed pre-taped sketches on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (roughly 2011–2017) before shifting that craft into comedy advertising. His Super Bowl LX work includes State Farm’s musical-comedy spot “Stop Livin’ on a Prayer” (TMA/Chicago) with Danny McBride, Keegan-Michael Key, Hailee Steinfeld, KATSEYE, and Jon Bon Jovi; Ritz Crackers’ “RITZ Island” for The Martin Agency with Jon Hamm, Bowen Yang, and Scarlett Johansson; and co-direction with Andrew Lane on Lay’s “The Most Epic Watch Party.” He detailed the State Farm debut in a February 2026 Shots first-person essay on animatic prep and performance comedy. Other evidenced spots include Mountain Dew Baja Beach, Salesforce “Now everyone’s an Einstein,” Dick’s Sporting Goods holiday, e.l.f. “Many Trick Pony,” Target’s Stranger Things Season 5/1987-archive campaign, GEICO “Drewdunnit,” Freshpet, Yorkshire Tea, EZ Cater, Grammarly, Wendy’s, and an earlier CareerBuilder Super Bowl entry; roster copy also cites Netflix, Intel, and Capital One. Sketch roots include the award-linked web series Sugarboy. A first feature is in development with Hungry Man’s long-form division.
