Bio & background

David Vergés is a Barcelona-based commercial director trained in Film Directing at ESCAC. He is represented for commercials in Canada by Sparks Productions and appears on the rosters of Spanish production company ROMA and Cartello Directors. His work concentrates on automotive and high-energy brand film: multiple Audi campaigns including the effects-driven “Invisible Man” with DDB (Cannes Lions Bronze in Film; El Ojo de Iberoamérica Gold) and “Pure Attraction” for the A1; Lamborghini Urus “The Chase”/“Unlock Any Road” (Best Commercial, International London Motor Film Awards); Jeep 4xe Hybrid; Volkswagen ID.7 and other VW work with DDB/Filmdeluxe; Toyota Corolla; Lexus GX “Core Memories”; and Seat. Other credited spots include Powerade “Prove Yourself Wrong” (2021), America’s Cup “We The Sea,” Iberdrola “Roque,” Decathlon “Post Holiday Blue Kids,” Coca-Cola “Caught” (Festival Iberoamericano Gold), Brooke Bond “Peace One Day” (Bronze), ABANCA “Go Further,” Orange “Love,” DJI, Netflix “Jaguar,” and Teresa Helbig fashion film “Black Label.” On “Invisible Man” he described multi-layer plate shooting and Motion Memorizer work so a performing actor could be removed in post. He also wrote and directed the short “Etiqueta Negra”/“Black Label,” shown at Tribeca, Zurich, and Málaga.
