Dom&Nic are the British directing duo of Dominic Hawley and Nic Goffey, collaborators since meeting as teenagers at school in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, in the late 1980s. They broke through documenting Supergrass and directing the 1994 “Mansize Rooster” video, then built a defining UK music-video reel—thirteen Supergrass clips, a long Chemical Brothers run including “Setting Sun,” “Block Rockin’ Beats,” “Believe” and “Wide Open,” plus Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, Faithless, Robbie Williams and David Bowie—winning an MTV Best Music Video award, a Brit Award and multiple Cannes Lions. Their first commercials, Nike’s “What Are You Getting Ready For” for Wieden+Kennedy, took a Gold Cannes Lion in 1999. Signature advertising includes Shelter’s “House of Cards” (Gunn Report runner-up 2009; D&AD, ANDY, Epica), Heathrow’s multi-year teddy-bear Christmas films, M&S Food holiday spots, and whimsical character work for First Direct, Eve, Ocado and Boots. Automotive credits span Toyota RAV4, Škoda Elroq, Vauxhall, Audi, Honda and Mercedes-Benz, with further campaigns for Heinz, Amazon Business, Experian, Rightmove, O2, HSBC, Barnardo’s and Erste. They combine CGI-heavy and virtual-production work with comedy and performance direction. Based in Brighton with producer John Madsen, they are repped by Outsider (UK/Worldwide/Amsterdam) and Station Film (US).
