Dorothea Sing Zhang is a Chinese filmmaker and commercial director working at the intersection of luxury branding and cultural storytelling, working with DIVISION in France and the United States. Zhang has directed campaigns for Hermès Ready-to-Wear Women, Prada (SS25 and FW24), Bottega Veneta, Rimowa, Versace Eyewear, and Zara's The Style Dialogue series, with editorial work for Vogue China and NOWNESS. Her 2026 Rimowa Chinese New Year campaign "Enjoy the Ride" featured award-winning actor Greg Hsu and her mother, Plum Blossom Award–winning Peking Opera master Geng Qiaoyun, using Tang Ma—a stylized horse-riding technique from Chinese Opera—as a central motif. Campaign Asia praised the film as "tightly constructed, well-crafted and a visual delight," noting its restraint and reliance on movement over dialogue. Zhang's Bottega Veneta CNY 2026 campaign featured cultural icons including Mary Ma, Shu Qi, and Ayunga. Her narrative short "Masterpiece Mommy" was nominated for Best Short Film at the First Youth Film Festival 2025, with previous shorts selected at TIFF, Indie Lisboa, and Palm Springs ShortFest. Zhang's practice is characterized by refined visual sensibility, mother-daughter narratives, and the integration of Chinese cultural heritage into contemporary brand storytelling.
