Eliot Rausch is a Los Angeles-based director, editor, and documentarian whose emotionally grounded storytelling has earned global recognition across commercial and documentary work. He burst onto the scene in 2010 when his self-shot short "Last Minutes with Oden" won the inaugural Vimeo Festival + Awards Grand Prize and Documentary Award, and was honored by Time Magazine as one of the year's most important cultural moments. Since then, Rausch has directed high-profile campaigns for Nike, Apple, Samsung, Guinness, Volvo, Expedia, and Duracell, often maintaining creative control through post-production by editing his own work. His Samsung film "We are Greater than I" garnered awards at D&AD, One Show, British Arrows, and Cannes in 2016, while his Expedia piece "Find Your Understanding" was named Ad Age's "Most Tear-Jerking Viral Ad of the Year" and listed among TED's 10 Best Ads annually. In 2015, he won a Cannes Lion and Clio Award for a documentary series profiling people living with multiple sclerosis. Rausch co-directed "A World Unseen" with Alejandro González Iñárritu as a companion to "The Revenant" in 2016, and recently helmed HBO's "Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic" in 2026. A self-taught editor who rose from an Ogilvy & Mather internship, Rausch specializes in intimate human-interest stories featuring vulnerable subjects—veterans, immigrants, recovering addicts, and marginalized communities. He is currently working with Stink Films globally and has completed his first manuscript exploring American men in economic hiding.
