Erik Moe is a commercial and film director, copywriter, and executive creative director based between Los Angeles and San Francisco, where he has been on the Kaboom Productions roster since July 2012. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, he built a dual career as a senior agency creative at DDB, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, TBWA\Chiat\Day, Team One, OKRP, and Deutsch while directing live-action commercials. Directed brand credits include T-Mobile, HP, Skechers (including a golf-line collaboration described as his most recent with the brand), KFC, Audi, Wisconsin Lottery, Sparkling Ice, and Oakland International Airport. Kaboom EP Lauren Schwartz has highlighted his narrative-comedy strength, comfort across :30 and longform, on-set writing contribution, and agency-side fluency. He wrote and directed the feature No Sleep ’til Madison (2002; Sundance Channel Emerging Filmmaker Award), the short Young Artie Feldman (2004; Tribeca premiere and AOL/Moviefone Grand Jury prize), Food Chain (2008), and Pelican Bay: Open for Business (2016), and has written comedy for Comedy Central, Broadway Video, and major studios. Kaboom attributes a Cannes Gold, One Show Pencil, and Clio to his creative directing, without campaign-specific ties in available sources.
