Fiona McGee is an award-winning Australian commercial director recognized internationally for visually striking, nuanced comedy and performance-driven storytelling. Her work spans Cannes Lions, D&AD, AWARD, and London International Awards honors, including a Cannes Lion for Selleys and a Gold Effie for RaboDirect. She directed a Super Bowl LVII campaign for TurboTax via Wieden+Kennedy Portland and helmed a multi-year ING Direct brand ambassador parody series starring Isla Fisher. McGee's client roster includes McDonald's, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Toyota, Booking.com, Credit Karma, Opendoor, Boots, Brawny, and Reddit. Her comedy work captures insightful, awkward human moments: McDonald's 'The Day After' depicted massively hungover New Year's Day characters with painful authenticity, while Breast Cancer Foundation NZ's 'Normal for me' used fantastical imagery—breasts that play music, shoot lasers, pop corn—to address health topics with warmth rather than fear. McGee's visual sensibility is shaped by fine arts training at UNSW and documentary filmmaking. She attended AWARD school, worked agency-side, and apprenticed at Cherub Pictures observing Rowan Woods, Shirley Barrett, and Andrew Dominik. Currently working with Arts & Sciences (US/UK) and Liberty Artist Management (Australia), she is developing long-form comedy, drama, narrative, and documentary projects.
