Bio & background

Florence Noble is a UK-origin comedy commercial director whose work centres on smart, character- and performance-driven humour, strong casting, and understated deadpan delivery. She spent much of her childhood around Saatchi & Saatchi Design in London, where her mother was creative director, before art school in Brighton and junior copywriting posts at TBWA London, TBWA Hunt Lascaris in Johannesburg, and Whybin TBWA in Auckland. That copywriter foundation—writing ads to make people laugh while still selling—shapes how she directs. She created the sketch outfit Blind Pilot, collaborated with Nick Boshier on the Emmy-winning series #7DaysLater, and directed the festival short Things Are Going Really Well (Melbourne International Film Festival / 2015 Accelerator). She was nominated Best Emerging Talent at the 2016 CAANZ Axis Awards and received a 2020 New Zealand Film Commission comedy scholarship. Her ANZ/UK commercial book includes Petits Filous (April 2025 “Mugshots” for isobel/Missing Link), The Co-operative Bank (August 2023 school-play comedy), Tower Insurance, Pizza Hut (“Ghost”), GO Healthy, Pepperstone, eBay, Bank First, and Premier Inn. Trade coverage frames her as applying absurd, whimsical sketch-comedy storytelling to brand work. As of late 2025 she is signed with The Corner Shop for the US and UK and Exit Films in Australia/New Zealand.
