Florence Poppy Deary is a London-based writer, animator, and commercial director specializing in character-led comedy across live-action and animation. Represented globally by Biscuit Filmworks (US/UK) with TPF for Germany, she was named shots EMEA New Director of the Year 2025 and an AdAge Director to Watch the same year after signing to Biscuit in spring 2025. An illustration graduate who wrote and art-directed at Quiet Storm, Mr. President, Mother London, and Wieden+Kennedy London, she broke through with the autobiographical animated short Is This A Good Time?, which took three Kinsale Sharks Golds (Best Animated Short, Best Short Short, Best Writing), and the live-action short S.O.S...But Don't Worry If Not, selected for Cannes Short Film Festival, Hollywood Shortsfest, and BAFTA-qualifying LOCO. Commercial credits include Airalo’s Bad Hotel eSIM spots, 48 Mobile’s Yep, Howden x British Lions idents, Smirnoff’s Laugh, Tapi’s brand campaign, Ginsters’ Merryn Taste the Effort/Changes work, and AMV BBDO’s DVLA Clampy/Chancer/Forgetful films—Young Director Award 2026 shortlists with two Silvers reported. 2026 work extends to Channel 4’s Press.
