Fran Colombatti is an Argentinian commercial director known for his cinematic, irreverent storytelling that blends humor, empathy, and meticulous craft. Trained in photography at Art Center College of Design and visual arts at Central Saint Martins, Colombatti began his career as an art director at Santo UK and Mother Argentina before transitioning to directing. As one half of the duo "1985," he won a Gold Lion at Cannes and earned New Talent Directors honors at the 2017 Diente Awards. As a solo director, his work spans musicals, puppetry, and VFX-driven campaigns for major brands including Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola, Spirit Airlines, DoorDash, and Fanta. His celebrated health awareness campaigns—"Don't Fear the Finger" for LALCEC and "Everybody Loves Boobs" for MACMA—earned multiple Cannes Lions and a Berlin Commercial shortlist. He has directed Lionel Messi twice, including YPF's "Linea de cal" commemorating Argentina's 2022 World Cup victory. Colombatti's eclectic reel demonstrates expertise across comedy, visual effects, sports, and automotive storytelling. Currently working with LANDIA (US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Spain), THE BOX (Italy), and Papaya Films globally.
