François Rousselet (b.
François Rousselet (b. 1982, Chartres, France) is a Paris-based director known for bold graphic sensibility and meticulous craft in music videos and commercials. He launched his career in 2007 directing promos for French electro label Ed Banger Records, working with Justice and Kavinsky, and has since collaborated with The Rolling Stones, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Madonna, and Jack White. His 2022 stop-motion music video "Cash In Cash Out" for Pharrell Williams featuring 21 Savage and Tyler, the Creator won a D&AD Black Pencil, two Cannes Lions Golds, and the Ciclope Grand Prix. In commercials, Rousselet has directed Nike's viral "Da-Da-Ding" featuring Deepika Padukone (Cannes Gold Lion), John Lewis's 2024 Christmas campaign "The Gifting Hour," Diesel's "Go With The Flaw" and transgender-focused "Francesca," and PlayStation's "Play Has No Limits." His 2020 Just Eat spot featuring Snoop Dogg earned two Clio Awards. Before directing, Rousselet worked as a camera operator on French television productions from the late 1980s through 2010, developing a keen eye for framing and movement. He is working with DIVISION in France and the US, and works with Riff Raff Films and Anorak Film.
