Gia Coppola is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker, photographer, and screenwriter represented for commercials by The Directors Bureau. Her 2024 Mejuri series “A New York Minute,” produced with the Bureau, is a set of branded-entertainment microfilms built around real-life friends, natural conversation, and lightly integrated product; DP Jody Lee Lipes shot the films on 16mm with a handheld camera for a voyeuristic, observational feel. In 2022 she directed House of Rohl’s “Life Well Crafted,” a black-and-white cinematic narrative inspired by noir and new-wave movie trailers, following an aspirational couple’s dinner party across the brand’s luxury plumbing portfolio rather than product beauty shots. Additional evidenced commercial credits include Plan B, Yoplait Oui’s “Melanie” spot, a Google Pixel creative-concept collaboration, UPS’s “Verify You Are Human,” and earlier fashion shorts for Opening Ceremony and Zac Posen. Her craft signature—16mm grain and rawness, handheld verité camera, anamorphic lenses, and photography-informed textured light—links features (Palo Alto, Mainstream, The Last Showgirl) to lifestyle and fashion-adjacent advertising. Music-video work remains separate from her advertiser-client list.
