Gina Medina is a Colombian/Spanish commercial director working primarily in Latin American advertising. Trained in film in Bogotá, she holds a Master’s in Filmmaking from ESCAC in Barcelona and studied acting at the Nancy Tuñon and Jordi Oliver School. That dual path informs brand work built around everyday realism, subtle humor, and emotionally precise performances, with a set practice centered on close dialogue with actors and room for spontaneous moments. Documented credits include a BBVA film shot in a documentary-style, entirely handheld approach; Carey’s International Women’s Day film “Life doesn’t need balance” (DDB Bogotá, March 2020); Club Colombia; Poker’s Clio 2025 Bronze “Imagine With Petacos” (Primo); and the March 2024 Red Cross / Filsa Water “Filter Caps” initiative with Ogilvy Colombia. She is rostered with Primo Content across LATAM and was listed on Cultivate.Media’s US roster as of February 2024. Recognition cited in her LatinProd bio includes D&AD, El Dorado, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, and Cannes Lions; she joined the El Ojo de Iberoamérica jury in 2022 and was selected for the Cannes Young Lions Colombia jury in 2025.
