Bio & background

Glenn Kitson is a London-based commercial director working with Iconoclast in the US, UK, France, and Germany. Born in Bolton in the late 1970s and shaped by Manchester's Acid House and Factory Records era, Kitson built his career from stylist to creative director at RSA Films before transitioning behind the camera. He founded The Rig Out, a creative studio offering guidance on film, music videos, and photography. His commercial portfolio spans Nike (Tell Us Never, Hallo New Jersey), Levi's (Icons campaign earning an AICP Post Awards 2026 finalist nod), Adidas, Under Armour, Reebok, Stone Island ('A Sorpres' Naples documentary), and Strongbow (Refreshing the Nation, celebrated for casting real people and regional UK accents with a Mike Skinner soundtrack). His Super Bowl 2025 credits include Tubi's surrealist Cowboy Head, Dunkin's DunKings 2 with Ben Affleck and Jeremy Strong, and On's Elmo/Roger Federer alphabet spot. Kitson's work blends documentary authenticity with cinematic craft, mining British working-class culture for honest, witty storytelling. A former Guardian freelance writer, he's developing a BFI-supported feature exploring Northern folklore and paganism. Sober 19 years through Narcotics Anonymous, he credits daily morning pages practice and recovery discipline as foundational to his creative output.
