Bio & background

Greg Brunkalla is a New York–based commercial and content director and SCAD film alumnus (B.F.A. 2001), rostered at Holiday Films. He shot his first commercial in 2004 and has directed work for Pepsi, Cadbury, Coca-Cola, Nike, Target, Samsung, Amazon, Google, Maker’s Mark, Old Navy, Sagami, Bell, Virgin Plus, Ford, Kia, T-Mobile, and The New York Times. Holiday’s reel includes Pepsi with Bobby Flay, Amazon “Yeti,” Chromebook “Easy,” Maker’s Mark, Samsung “Hearing Colours,” Sagami “Act of Love,” and Bell x Google Pixel 6. The 2010 Target Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular—developed with Mother New York through the Legs collective he co-founded—earned a Cannes Gold Lion in Stunts & Live Advertising and a TED Ads Worth Spreading nod. Coke Zero’s “Make It Possible” LA street-dancers short took a 2012 Cannes Silver Lion in Branded Content. The New York Times Style Magazine “Screen Tests” drew Emmy nominations and a 2012 Webby. His LL Cool J Rock the Bells film won Best Music Video at Tribeca 2025. He received a 2009 ADC Young Guns honor. Craft centers on authentic character performance, dance/choreography, music-driven storytelling, and light high-concept comedy such as Cadbury “Pinata.”
