Henrik Hansen is a Danish-born commercial director, DP, and photographer working with Ridley Scott’s RSA Films (US/UK/Asia) for more than a decade, with bases in Los Angeles and Europe. Trained at the Copenhagen Institute of Photography, he specializes in automotive and high-energy brand filmmaking. Credits include BMW’s 2017 Lisbon-shot “Directed by M4” and 2016 Scrambler “Make Life A Ride,” Mercedes and Mercedes-AMG work, Volvo’s 2015 XC60 spot for Grey shot in Norway’s Lofoten landscapes, plus Mustang Mach-E, Dodge, Lincoln Aviator, Volkswagen, Jeep, Range Rover, and Honda safety films. Beyond cars he has directed for Apple, Lacoste, Dell’s globe-spanning Power Edge series, and currently airing Comcast Business spots including “Think a Minute” and “Built for Business.” Hansen works as an in-camera purist—favoring car-mounted authenticity (including vibration), clear action geography, and precise multi-car choreography that resolves organically into pack shot. RSA profiles cite a cinematic range from minimalist subjects to high-energy expansive visuals with masterful use of light. Outside advertising, his short Shinya Kimura played SXSW and LA Film Festival and was a Vimeo Festival finalist; he directed the 2022 TV special Radford Returns and has a Mark Knopfler biographical documentary set for early 2025.
