Jara Moravec is a Prague-born commercial director and former photographer whose brand work pairs dry, awkward humour with tech and fintech product storytelling. After photography training and stints in London and Berlin he rebuilt an international practice from Prague, treating banal material as polished, slightly surreal brand film. An LBB Directors interview (2022) frames him as a visual-first filmmaker who rewrites for disruption, prioritises DP partnership, and seeks “mixing beautiful and grotesque, bending genres.” Recent credits include Ramp “Chasing Receipts” (Arts & Letters / ProdCo; Spy Films Toronto service), Amazon Ads “All That, For This” (Anomaly), Bitvavo “Dear Traders,” Barclays “The Candidate” (VCCP), Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, SWYFT “Beautiful Living,” Oppo “Embrace the Night” (KODE, 2022), and OnePlus “Little More Than You’d Expect,” which took Kinsale Sharks Bronze for Casting (2022). Earlier cited brands include Adidas, Erste Bank, Shell, Red Bull, Vitra and Mulberry. His short Bromance won Ciclope Silver (Low budget, 2021). Craft notes reference 16mm work, floating handheld “dance partner” camera language, and comic-book framing. He appears on Spy Films’ current roster; 2022 profiles also listed Kode (UK), Hamlet, Bistro Films and others, with ProdCo recurring on English-language spots.
