Jeremy Pettit is a commercial director who moved from DIY extreme-sports filmmaking in British Columbia into brand campaigns built on real human stories. He taught himself on hi-8 tapes documenting skate and snowboard crews, developed a rhythmic music-driven edit style in action sports, and studied fundamentals with a 16mm Bolex and black-and-white photography at Emily Carr. Red Bull’s original series Blueprint marked his shift into story-led branded content. West Coast exclusive at Dear Friend (Canada), with recent U.S. production through Porch House in Santa Monica, he has directed Toyota work including BZ Electric Feeling and winter-Olympian narratives with Swiss Alps helicopter Cineflex, BMW’s New Horizons, RAM’s The Calling (co-directed with Andrew Schneider; multi-location real-people film), First Command’s Just Like You, Chipotle, ESPN’s That Is Hockey, Under Armour/Outside, Eastbay’s Helen Maroulis recovery story, Mammoth Magic, USA Tourism, and early Red Bull projects. His method uses pre-interviews, scouts, and freestyle capture of genuine moments with mountain and extreme-weather crews, condensing action-sports pacing into 30–60 second spots centered on authentic worlds and emotional connection.
