Josh Soskin is a commercial director, writer, and photographer based in Southern California. He signed with The Partners Film Company for Canadian representation in December 2023 after directing through Hey Baby in Los Angeles (joined 2017) and an earlier Station Film roster stint. He broke through with his self-written Match.com spec “Aquarium,” a mini-narrative about a nine-year-old seeking a partner for his dad that the brand bought and aired. Super Bowl LI carried two of his spots via Hey Baby: Amazon’s comedic “Alexa Moments” campaign (five of ten spots on the broadcast) and Arizona State University’s regional “Learn to Thrive,” a 60-second docu-film about a student bringing clean water to communities in need. Brand credits include Adobe—where he co-wrote and developed recent work with Hasan Minhaj—Ford, Samsung, Snickers, Microsoft, Intel, Starbucks, Ad Council, and GM, which purchased his apocalyptic spec “Zombie Shooter” for European air. Intel’s “Shubham” earned a Webby, an AICP Best Branded Content shortlist, and SHOOTonline Top Spot of the Week in 2015. Documentary roots include hundreds of Current TV shorts such as Modern Day Pirates; narrative short La Carnada premiered at Tribeca and was named Best of Fest at Palm Springs.
