Justin Malone is a Dallas-born director, editor, and cinematographer who entered advertising through festival documentary and narrative film. He launched Malone Pictures in his early twenties and drew wider notice with the feature documentary Hurry Up and Wait—festival-honored and distributed by Film Buff—alongside UNDOCUMENTED and the narrative short Blue. In March 2014 Reel FX signed him for nationwide commercial representation, with trade coverage citing branded work via The Richards Group and Duncan/Day for Southwest Airlines, Boost Mobile, and Tecate. Documented later spots include Tiff’s Treats’ 2017 “Memories, To The Rescue” films for The Shop, built around Texas football personalities Vince Young, Ricky Williams, and Colt McCoy, and Nothing Bundt Cakes’ 2018 “Holly, Sharon” joy-giver films for 3Headed Monster, which Malone directed and edited through Malone Pictures with DP Vincent Monsaint, turning real community nominees into surprise-party brand stories. He also shot Addy-recognized “Payback” (Walo Creative) on Kodak 7219. Roster and trade language emphasize storytelling, film journalism, and real-people direction. He is currently rostered at charlieuniformtango (Southwest/US) while continuing long-form documentary work including Uncle Tom (2020), Uncle Tom II (2022), and Comrade Yuri (2024).
