Kalum Ko is a Brooklyn-based director and photographer, signed to Greenpoint Pictures in the US in May 2026 with additional artist representation at Levine/Leavitt. A 2025 One Club Young Guns winner, he works in intimate, emotionally honest, documentary-rooted commercial and personal film that favors unfiltered naturalistic behaviour and genuine human response. Raised in Kimberley, British Columbia, he began making ski films at 13 and carried that outdoor craft into Destination BC and Yukon Wild tourism films and a 2025 Powder Mountain, Utah campaign. A roughly 2017 Mercedes-Benz Patagonia G-Wagon film, shot over two open-reign weeks with a small crew rather than a heavily scripted couple of days, remains a portfolio cornerstone. Other brand work includes Dairy Farmers of Canada’s “Farm to…” (director and stills), Tinder stills and modules for Mischief’s “It Starts With a Swipe,” Condé Nast, and stills for Exparel, ConnectRN, and Fuck Cancer. Personal projects include WIP (NOWNESS; Directors Library), Alone with Everyone (Young Director Award nomination), and About Now with Phong Bui (2026, Witness Me). Photography series Close to Home received a Canada Council for the Arts grant and a LensCulture 2024 Emerging Talent Juror’s Pick. Production spans more than 35 countries with small-crew, location-led immersion.
