Lanre Danmola is a Brooklyn-based commercial and music video director named to SHOOT Magazine’s 2024 New Directors Showcase top 30. A Duke University engineering graduate from South Orange, New Jersey, he started filmmaking in 2020 and became an in-house director at Wieden+Kennedy New York’s social sub-agency Bodega, also producing, writing, and art-directing. Directed branded work includes The Doritos Wishing Well, Sunny D’s The Vending Machine and The Boardroom, Meta for Education, McDonald’s McNeighbors short-form comedy series (Dave Hooks a Hoax, Dave Goes Green, Dave Digs Deep), and Wiz Khalifa x Lawry’s, plus Boyd Gaming/Raiders Casino spots and portfolio logos for Nike, Jordan, and Delta. Roster and trade copy frame a surrealist comedy-and-VFX voice—bold color, unusual perspectives, and clever effects that elevate reality. Music videos he directed have drawn over 100 million views and peaked at No. 1 on YouTube’s trending chart; cited celebrity collaborators include Wiz Khalifa and Issa Rae. In June–July 2025 Sparks Productions signed him for Canada; he is listed on Merman Branded’s U.S. commercial roster and earlier held a Coinbase creative-director role launching social video strategy.
