Lisa Rubisch is a commercial director working with Park Pictures in the US and UK, known for joyful, heartfelt work capturing universally relatable life moments from a female perspective. She began her career at MTV, where she wrote and directed the multi-award-winning 'Paper Doll' PSA and the MTV Movie Awards campaign featuring Samuel L. Jackson (both Bronze Pencil winners at The One Show). Her MTV work caught Madonna's attention, leading to directing assignments for Madonna's concert tours, movies, and albums. Rubisch has since directed nationally aired campaigns for Dick's Sporting Goods ('Who Will You Be' series including '4:45am,' 'School Pickup,' 'The Firefly,' 'Choices'), Subaru ('Shares the Love,' 'Prom'), Pampers ('Love The Change,' AdWeek Ad of the Day 2019), Honda CR-V ('Leap List' campaign including the Super Bowl XLVI spot '50 States'), and HP ('Togetherness,' nominated for Best Performance at 2018 AICP awards and winner of a Ciclope award for casting). Her NHTSA 'Never Happens' PSA was featured as an AdAge Editor's Pick in both 2024 and 2026. Additional clients include Nike, IKEA, Walmart, Wells Fargo, Chobani, Target, McDonald's, and Trex. Rubisch's cinematic, documentary-influenced style favors authentic casting—mixing actors with non-actors, real families, and children—to create hopeful, honest, and spontaneous portraits. She is also a published writer (Cup of Jo, Condé Nast Traveler, Literary Mama, Huffington Post) and lives in New York City.
