Bio & background

Mark Zibert is a Canadian commercial director and former stills photographer who studied applied photography at Toronto’s Sheridan College. He broke through in his early twenties with a Nike stills campaign for Cossette on athletes’ injuries, then delivered the Adidas Beijing 2008 Olympics campaign for 180/TBWA Shanghai—multi-plate stadium crowds and classical composition—that earned a Cannes Gold Lion (reported as the first for a Chinese agency) and a Lucie Award for Photography/Print Campaign of the Year. Moving into motion in the late 2000s, he won the Bessies New Directors Award and a Cannes Bronze in 2008. Confirmed commercial credits include Terry Fox Foundation “Finish It” (2025 single-take film with Tantrum CG/AI face replacement); SickKids “Be A Light,” “All In,” and “House of Legends”; IKEA “Our Little World,” “Stuff Monster,” Fashion, and Lamp; Walmart “An Ode To Motherhood”; Simons “Dress Yourself”; RBC “Crochet” and a Super Bowl–timed launch; Stella Artois “Table Drop”; Nike Mercurial “Vapour Trail” (Cristiano Ronaldo); Diesel “Spirit of The Brave” (Neymar Jr); adidas “Take It” (Messi, Bale); Samsung Mobile “Human Nature”; Sapporo “Legendary Bïru” (Guangzhou live-action/3D world-building); Snapdragon; Nissan Rogue “Winter Warrior”; and Scotiabank, Subway, Food Banks Canada, Kruger, ROM, and IOC films. He is working with Scouts Honour (Canada), Imperial Woodpecker (US), Rogue Films (UK), and La Pac (France).
