Martín Holzman is an award-winning commercial director born in 1993 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was raised in Villa Crespo's Jewish working-class neighborhood—an environment that shaped his signature comedic sensibility. He studied film at Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires and has since built a body of work characterized by off-beat comedy that borders on dark and surreal, alongside emotion-provoking narratives. His craftsmanship has earned three Cannes Lions for Quilmes Beer's "Coincidences" campaign, plus honors from Clios, One Show, and D&AD. In 2020 he was named Young Director of the Year, and in 2025 he became the only Argentine director to win a Cannes Lion in the Film category for his Axion commercial. Holzman has directed campaigns for Verizon, Uber Eats, Stella Artois, Tequila Cazadores, CoorDown, and Mercado Libre, collaborating with agencies including GUT Buenos Aires, BBDO New York, SMALL New York, and Grey Argentina. His work frequently partners with argentinacine and Indiana Production, and features meticulous practical craft—from set design to costume—captured by cinematographers including Agustín Barrutia and Alvar Riu Dolz. He is currently working with Partizan in the US, UK, France, and Canada, and by Immigrant Studio in Brazil.
