Martin Jalfen is a commercial director who began as a copywriter and creative director at Publicis, FCB, DDB, Grupo Gallegos, and The Community, earning Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, and One Show recognition and representing his country as a Cannes Young Creative in 2004. In 2006 he co-founded Amautalab, building puppetry, stop-motion, and hybrid live-action/animation; the Super 16 short The Blindness of the Woods won the Canal+ Award at Clermont-Ferrand, reached Sundance, and led to Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors at Cannes. Commercial credits include Old Spice “Captain,” Burger King “Talents,” 7UP’s 16mm “Laughter” and “Karaoke” street-cast films in Mexico City, New York Lottery “Beaver Dreams,” Wallbox “Get in Charge,” Progressive, 1inch’s Bruce Lee “Take Crypto SeriousLee,” Verizon, NotCo, KFC, Toyota, Heineken, Gatorade, and Red Cross Stray Bullet (multiple Cannes Lions and an El Ojo Craft Grand Prix). He co-founded Spanish company Roma, named Ibero-America’s Best Production Company at El Sol 2025, and is rostered with Heaven Inc (Los Angeles), Primo (LATAM/EU), and Akkurat. Based in Spain, he shoots globally with dialogue-driven comedy, meticulous art direction, and near-scientific comic tempo.
