Finnish-born commercial director Mikko Lehtinen has directed hundreds of spots across more than 50 countries and all seven continents. Founder of Sauna International, he is repped exclusively in the U.S. by The Board of Directors (2025) and in Canada by Sparks Productions, with additional roster presence via AgentZoo. He broke through with Fragile Childhood’s PSA “Monsters” (Havas Finland), which earned a Cannes Gold Lion after years of shortlists, drew millions of views, and received Golden Drum cinematography recognition. Award records also include a 2012 One Show Merit for Bank Forum Commerzbank Group’s “German Style” (Ogilvy Ukraine), plus Clio, D&AD, Epic, and multiple British Arrows credits, and Cancer Society of Finland’s anti-smoking film “Baby Love.” Roster and trade work spans Tori’s “Keep on Movin'” (remote-controlled and wire-rigged in-camera gags), McDonald’s “Action Heroes,” Coca-Cola, Finnair “Shortcut to Europe,” Lidl, Milka, Merrell “Shoes That Breathe,” Regaine “Vet,” Range Rover, and Volkswagen. Materials emphasize performance direction, rhythm and timing, an animator’s eye for art direction and casting, slow-motion used with comedy, and hands-on in-camera solutions over hollow spectacle.
