Bio & background

Molly Manners is a London-born commercial and narrative director represented for commercials by Biscuit Filmworks UK since 2019, with film and television representation at Independent Talent. She began at Channel 4’s in-house agency 4Creative as creative and director, delivering promo campaigns including Funny Fortnight and Short Shorts and the satirical short-form Mini in Chelsea. Early recognition included D&AD, British Arrows and Creative Circle awards plus Campaign’s Future Creative Leaders list in 2018; she joined Academy Films in 2014 before moving to Biscuit. Commercial work centers performance-led comedy and heartfelt storytelling. Standout credits include Waitrose’s 2025 Christmas campaign The Perfect Gift for Wonderhood Studios—a four-minute miniature rom-com starring Keira Knightley and Joe Wilkinson—that earned Campaign, Ad Age, Shots and David Reviews Picks of the Week, One Point Four Branded Gold, Televisual Best Commercial ranking, and Shots’ Cannes Contenders 2026 UK selection. Additional brand work includes Tesco’s That’s What Makes It Christmas (Televisual Best Commercial recognition) and a project for Kopparberg. Campaign ranked her #3 director of the year. Parallel long-form credits include BAFTA-winning work on BBC/Hulu’s In My Skin, lead direction on Netflix’s One Day (BAFTA-nominated; RTS Best Director), and feature debut Extra Geography (Film4/BFI) premiering at Sundance 2026.
