Nadav Kander is a London-based photographer and commercial director working with Chelsea Pictures. Born in Tel Aviv in 1961 and raised in Johannesburg, he moved to London in 1986 after South African Air Force darkroom service. Directing credits include the Super Bowl-premiering NFL and NoMore.org “Listen” campaign (Grey), which reached over 100 million viewers; Christie's “The Last daVinci” for Droga5, on Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi and covered by The New York Times and The Guardian; Fear of God x Adidas “Wonder Oxide”; Samsung “The Glow”; Age UK “Time Flies” (Karmarama); Highways England “Rain” (AMVBBDO London); and GQ’s “Evil Instincts” shorts with Benicio del Toro and other actors known for villain roles. He has received numerous Cannes Lions, the Prix Pictet for Yangtze – The Long River, a World Press Portrait Award, the Stone Prize at Epica 1999, and an Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society. Work is held in the National Portrait Gallery and Victoria and Albert Museum. Commercial films draw on the same portrait and landscape practice as his fine art, treating brands in sports, fashion, tech, and nonprofit with formal precision.
