Natasha Lyonne is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor, writer, producer, and director signed by The Directors Bureau in December 2022 for global representation in advertising, branded content, and music video. Her sole evidenced brand-directed credit is the 2017 Kenzo short Cabiria, Charity, Chastity—her directorial debut—a surrealist film for the house’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection featuring Maya Rudolph, Fred Armisen, and Leslie Odom Jr. She co-created, showruns, writes, and directs Netflix’s Emmy-winning dark comedy Russian Doll; directed the 2020 Netflix comedy-variety special Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine (ensemble including Helen Mirren, Jon Hamm, Ben Stiller, Winona Ryder, Marisa Tomei, and Aubrey Plaza) through Animal Pictures; and has episodic directing credits on Orange Is the New Black, Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, Shrill, High Fidelity, and Poker Face, which she also executive produces. Animal Pictures, co-founded with Maya Rudolph in 2019, struck a deal with Sister in May 2024. Old Navy, COS, and Peacock Super Bowl spots feature her as on-camera talent only, not as director.
