Nico Kreis is a Berlin-based commercial director and BONAPARTE co-founder. Born in Nuremberg in 1988, he trained in cinematography at the Bavarian Academy for Television, studied advertising and filmmaking in Munich, and came through Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg—profiled by Shots in 2013 for the German Aviation Association short Dreamers Stay Young. His breakout international work is automotive and spectacle-driven: Nissan Patrol’s global Take no Sides (2016, TBWA\RAAD Dubai / Ambassadors), a 60-second VFX-heavy desert-versus-city film framed as a Mad Max-style climax; a global Porsche 911 launch and Porsche Timeless (2018); and GMC Yukon Legacy of Verse (2021, FP7 McCann / Ambassadors), organized around night-time Dubai landscapes and CG calligraphy light. Eskimo’s 2019 U.S. signing cited performance- and character-driven cinematic spots for Mercedes, Samsung, Nissan, Toyota, and Pilsner, plus remote-location work in the Andes, Far East cities, and Arabian dunes. Later directed credits include Montenegro Tourism’s Uncover Your Wild Side. He has Young Lions and Cannes Lions Young Directors recognition, AICP and German ADC honors, and AICP jury service. working with Bonaparte (US/EU); prior U.S. rep Eskimo (2019).
