Nolan Sarner is a Toronto-based commercial director working with Skin and Bones Film for Canada and the US. His 2026 work includes Intact Insurance’s category-leadership campaign with Cossette Montreal—three single-take vignettes shot with a locked, unmoving camera on a closed stretch of Yonge Street, framed as in-camera “moving paintings” with no cuts or comping, heavy street choreography, and a FotoKem film-pass finish (LBB Behind the Work, July 2026). The same period brought Walmart “Believe” with Jonathan David Jr. (David Reviews pick of the day, June 2026; DP Catherine Lutes) and SickKids Hospital “All it Takes is a Second,” named in Shots Best of February 2026 and shortlisted for the Young Directors Award and 1.4 Longlist. Roster credits also include McDonald’s “From the Ground Up,” RBC “Newcomers,” Canada Post “Grandpa,” and further Intact titles. Awards include a 2018 Canadian Screen Award win and 2019 nomination, ADCC shortlist (2024), multiple 1.4 and Berlin Commercial shortlists, a Vimeo Staff Pick, and consecutive YDA shortlists (2025–2026). Craft signals center on locked-off long takes, complex real-world choreography, and authentic direction of first-time and celebrity performers.
