Paola Morabito is an Australian director of Sicilian-Calabrian heritage whose commercial work combines bold visual style with emotionally grounded performances. A 2007 graduate of AFTRS, she apprenticed with Jane Campion as assistant on In the Cut (2003) and second-unit shooter on Bright Star (2009), chronicling the mentorship in her documentary Working with Jane. Her short film I'm the One premiered at the 69th Venice International Film Festival. Morabito's commercial portfolio spans Nike, Samsung, Suncorp, Blue Apron, Triumph, and Rapha, with a proven ability to elicit naturalistic performances from athletes and real people—including Serena Williams and the Canyon–SRAM pro cycling team. Her Samsung 'Rethink Role Models' campaign won four Silver and one Bronze at AWARD; her 2010 Guide Dogs Australia 'Interviews' film garnered multiple awards. Recent work includes SafeWork NSW's 2025 'Safe at work. There for them' public safety campaign via 303 MullenLowe Sydney, which targeted multiple audiences including First Nations and CALD communities. Morabito gravitates toward stories of female empowerment, sisterhood, and behavioral change, combining technical rigor with a deep understanding of human vulnerability and strength.
