Robert Stromberg is an Academy Award–winning director and designer working with RSA Films in the US and UK. He entered the industry as a matte painter and digital artist, later winning Oscars for Best Art Direction on James Cameron’s Avatar and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, plus multiple Primetime Emmys for visual effects on Star Trek and HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and John Adams. Commercial Super Bowl credits include Mercedes-Benz (“Fable”/“The Big Race” for the AMG GT S), Pepsi’s LIFEWTR (“Inspiration Drops”), and Eli Lilly Emgality. Brand films include Netflix’s Olympics-debuted “The World is on Netflix” (photo-real CG aliens with The Mill), Pepsi x Regal’s “Hungry Kraken,” Taco Bell’s opera-house circus “Big Show,” Kohler’s “Mirror, Mirror” (2019), Emirates campaigns with Framestore and Chris Hemsworth, Disney World’s Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, Bayut “Homes Live Here,” Hulu spots with Anna Kendrick, Walmart retail films, GE “No Magic,” Qualcomm Snapdragon, Kay Jewelers, AltaFiber, and pharma vignettes for Pfizer, Neurocrine, AstraZeneca, Vanda, and Rinvoq. His Dell + Intel series “What Lives Inside” won multiple Cannes Lions in 2015; The Martian VR Experience earned a Cannes Silver Lion and AICP Next award.
