Rune Milton is a Copenhagen-based Danish director known for cinematic storytelling that blends epic visual scale with intimate emotional clarity. He began his career in 2006 as an editor at Framfab, where he created award-winning Nike Football campaigns including "The Chain" and "The Perfect Kick" (honored at Cannes Lions, Epica, and Clio). After a creative role at Hjaltelin Stahl, he transitioned to directing full-time in 2009. Milton's commercial work spans global brands including IWC Schaffhausen, Toyota, Royal Ontario Museum, Carlsberg, IKEA, Doctors Without Borders, McDonald's, Pfizer, Uber, and Nike. His 2024 Royal Ontario Museum film "Immortal: Nature's Symphony" features a CG chimpanzee voiced by tenor Pene Pati and earned five Gold Clio Entertainment Awards, Silver awards at Ciclope, and a Silver One Show for Visual Effects. His IWC work with Tom Brady was shortlisted for a Cannes Lion in Direction (2021) and collected five ADC Awards. His Doctors Without Borders film "Life" won the 2021 Grand Prix at The True Awards plus Gold for Cinematography at Ciclope 2020. Milton's films are distinguished by meticulous cinematography, immersive sound design, and sophisticated VFX collaborations with Chemistry Film, TGBVFX, and Mikael Balle.
