Bio & background

Scott Pickett is an Australian commercial and long-form director whose work centers on dry-witted comedy, performance-led casting, and polished cinematic craft. Raised in Broken Hill, he trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and earned a Master’s in Directing from AFTRS; festival shorts including The Rouseabout, Shot Open, and The One Who Broke Your Heart established his narrative base before more than 100 commercial campaigns shot across numerous countries. Brand work spans Apple, Google, IKEA, Coke, Nestlé, McDonald’s, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Audi, Uber Eats, Aldi, Dulux, BP, Telus, St Hubert, and Transport NSW. Signature cuts include Volkswagen’s The Boring Boy and related Golf spots, Nissan’s Apocalypse, Telus’ Summer Camp, St Hubert’s Wedding, BP’s Blind Date, Dulux’s Change Starts Here, Uber Eats’ Tonight I’ll Be Eating… with Sacha Baron Cohen (2021), and Audi Australia’s Fluent in Both via Scoundrel. Awards include a Gold Clio and Bronze One Show for ALDI-Mamia Baby Faces, a Bronze Cannes Lion (LAMBASSADOR), a Gold Promax for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and a Bronze AWARD for Chokito. Parallel TV credits include The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting and The Moodys.
