Selina Miles is an Australian director based in Sydney. Self-taught after leaving multimedia design, she broke through with the 2013 viral hyper-lapse short Limitless—stop-motion and hyperlapse techniques shot largely on a Canon 6D—which amassed over 12 million YouTube views. She has directed commercials and branded films for Volkswagen, Kia, Captain Morgan, Pepsi, Red Bull, JD Sports, Ubisoft, Adobe, Carefree, Stella Insurance, Camilla & Marc, Sirena Tuna, and Officeworks x Apple, often through Scoundrel. Carefree’s “Meet The Matriarchs” won a Glass Spike for Change. Her approach frequently draws on non-actors, self-shooting, and docu-style storytelling. Documentary features include Martha: A Picture Story (2019), Tribeca premiere and winner of the Sydney Film Festival Audience Award for Best Documentary, Best Documentary Director at the ATOM Awards, and Best Portrait Documentary at Cleveland; Harley & Katya (2022), 2023 International Emmy winner for Best Sports Documentary; and Silenced, 2026 Sundance Film Festival World Cinema premiere and Sydney Film Festival opener. She has worked in more than 20 countries and is currently working with Scoundrel (AU/NZ).
