THE COLES are Sophie and Walker Cole, a Los Angeles–based brother/sister commercial directing duo. Born in Manhattan and raised in Connecticut in a multi-generation advertising family—their father is commercial director Charlie Cole—they formed the partnership around 2016 after Sophie’s work in costume and fashion design and Walker’s path through art dealing. Early credits include a 2017 Tory Sport film and the short Present Day Athens, which took Silver in the New Director category at the 1.4 Awards and made the Young Director Award Best Use of Humor shortlist.
