Tom Hingston is a London-based creative director and moving-image director who founded Hingston Studio in 1997. Documented brand films include Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ 2017 House of Rolls-Royce Chapter Two, “Goodwood – The Home of Rolls-Royce,” which he conceived, wrote and designed with Hingston Studio and directed through RSA Films, with Kate Winslet narrating; the roughly 90-second piece mixes live action, 3D scanning and animation around craft and factory process. In 2014 he directed Naim Audio’s mu-so brand film (DoP Lol Crawley) as part of an RSA-linked visual refresh. Parallel music-video work includes David Bowie’s “No Plan” (2017), “Sue (Or In a Season of Crime)” and “I'd Rather Be High,” Young Fathers’ UKMVA-recognised “Rice” / Heavy Heavy live project (2023, Black Dog Films; Amnesty International Refugee Week), Doves roster films, and Jehnny Beth’s “We Will Sin Together” (2020). IMDb records a BAFTA nomination. Moving-image credits associate him with RSA Films and Black Dog Films (UK); commercial advertising volume in sources is selective rather than high-throughput.
