Yousef is a Manchester-based commercial and music-video director who blends comedy, magical realism, and VFX in live-action work, drawing on a background as designer and art director and on animation and stop-motion technique. Represented in the US and UK by PRETTYBIRD, he was signed by HAMLET in May 2024 for Belgium, France, Asia Pacific and China, and also appears on Strange or Startling Films and 100% Film rosters after a 2022 HALAL signing. Commercial credits include BBC iPlayer’s “Like Nowhere Else” / “Uniquely Odd” campaign, Old Spice “Curls Are Cool,” Engine’s Johannesburg-shot “Make Work Travel Less Work” package (“Gregg Salad,” “Hotel Hustle,” “Nightmare Motel”), McDonald’s Christmas/EOY and Euros 2024 spots, Visa Women’s World Cup, Tele2, Uber Eats, Robinsons, Frisco, and Indoor Pets. Music videos include Paloma Faith’s “Monster” and Piero Pirupa’s “Braindead.” He won a 2021 D&AD Wood Pencil in Music Video: Concept for “Braindead” (Young Director’s Award and UKMVA shortlists) and a 2022 Webby in Video – Experimental & Weird for Old Spice “Curls Are Cool.” Coverage places him at performance comedy and surreal VFX rather than product demo.
